Support for Prostate Cancer UK from FMA Members overwhelming

Anthony Colman

FMA Members are once again showing amazing support for our official charity partners – Prostate Cancer UK.  We have had an overwhelming response to our request for support from medical and science teams for Sky Sports Presenter Jeff Stelling on his 15 marathons in 15 days.  Meanwhile over in the cycling department FMA Members, Anthony Colman, Bobby Childs and Ben McGlynn have been training for their 145 mile ride to Amsterdam.

Prostate cancer is a cancer which develops from cells in the prostate. It is the most common cancer in men in the UK. Each year, about 40,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer in the UK. It affects about 1 in 8 men in the UK at some point in their lives. Most cases develop in men over the age of 65 years.

Jeffs March for Men

After his exploits marching from Hartlepool United to Wembley Stadium last year, Jeff Stelling is taking on 15 marathons in 15 days in 2017. And FMA Members have agreed to be on hand as he visits 40 clubs during this event.  Our Members will be helping Jeff with strappings, massage, plastering the odd blister or for just moral support.  Prostate Cancer UK have expressed their sincere thanks to all our Members who have agreed to support this event.

Football to Amsterdam

The FMA Team is well on the way to reaching the team target of £3000.  The Team will cycle 145 miles to Amsterdam along with 400 football fans, staff and legends of the game including Les Ferdinand, Terry Butcher, Viv Anderson, Alan Smith, Sean Davis and Simon Grayson.
