AWARDS 2019

HOSTED BY BBC SPORTS PRESENTER

MR HUGH FERRIS

Now in its SIXTH year the FMPA Awards is a unique event for members and business partners alike.  Supported by renowned events management team, Road3, the gala dinner is a fantastic network opportunity and a chance for your company to engage with purchasers and decision makers within the professional game.

We are delighted that once again BBC Sports Presenter Hugh Ferris will be presenting this year’s awards.

Here are some quotes from last year’s delegates:

“Great to see so many familiar faces at the  FMPA awards- a fantastic night and great to celebrate medicine and performance achievements across football “

“I’d like to congratulate the FMPA for creating a relaxed learning environment where peers can interact freely around the great speakers that were presenting.  This years conference further highlighted the progress and development of our community within the industry” Nathan Winder, Head of Club Sport Science, Barnsley FC.

Outstanding Contribution to Football Medicine & Performance Award

Sponsored by Essity

This award is made to an individual whose overall contribution to football is recognised through a variety of mediums. Nominations would take into account an individuals career, their impact on Club and colleagues, their role within the game and within their discipline, their achievements and overall presence and influences – all of which go to make their contribution meaningful, appreciated and respected by Club and colleagues alike.

Mentorship Excellence Award

These awards are designed to honour a medicine or performance practitioner in professional football who exemplify truly extraordinary selflessness as they support and contribute to the career development and advancement of other members for their team.

Longstanding Service Award

This award is given to a practitioner from the Medicine and Performance Team who has worked in professional Football for over 21 years and accordingly have dedicated their career to the game.

Exceptional Service Award

This award aims to recognise the work of a practitioner who has undertaken work of an exceptional nature within their field of practice. They may have worked beyond the call of duty, excelled within a particular aspect of their practice or been called upon to push the boundaries of their discipline to the highest level. Given the precarious nature of our working environment such acts of exceptional service no doubt occurs every season. This should be acknowledged.

21 Club Award

This award goes to any member of the Medicine and Performance team who has worked in a professional capacity in professional football for 21 years.
