The FMPA website. The term FMPA or 'us' or 'we' refers to the owner of the website whose registered office is 6A Cromwell Terrace, Gisburn Road, Barrowford, Lancashire. Our company name is League Medical Ltd trading as Football Medicine & Performance Association and the registration number is 08653986.  The term 'you' refers to the user or viewer of our website.

Users of the service do hereby represent, understand and expressly agree that FMPA does not make any warranty or guarantee over the quality, timing, integrity, responsibility, legality or any other aspect whatsoever of the materials or services offered or delivered by its members to their customers.

Uploading content to the Website/Register

If you are over the age of 18 you are permitted to upload content. Where you upload content to the Website you must ensure that all content uploaded:

Where content you upload does not comply with the Content Standards or requires clarification, FMPA may contact you for further information, before publishing such content.

You warrant that all content you upload shall comply with the Content Standards, and you agree to indemnify FMPA for any loss FMPA suffers as a result of your failure to comply with the Content Standards.

FMPA will not be responsible, or liable to any third party, for the content or accuracy of any content uploaded by you to the Website.

FMPA reserves the right to remove or withhold any content at any time which it considers fails to adhere with the Content Standards.

FMPA reserves the right to edit content you upload to amend spelling, grammar, punctuation, length, for the purposes of clarity and to ensure that the content can comply with the Content Standards.

FMPA Register Practitioner’s Eligibility

  • Registrants must have worked in a professional capacity with players or a club in the top 5 tiers in English football, the top 2 tiers in Scotland, National Teams or the FA WSL1.
  • Eligible practitioners: Doctors, Physiotherapists, Sports Therapists, Sport Scientists, Soft Tissue Therapists, Performance Analyst, Fitness Coach, Strength & Conditioning Coach, Surgeons, Physicians, Podiatrists, Sports Psychologists, Osteopaths/Chiropractors, Dentists, Nutritionists, Counsellor/Psychotherapist.

FMPA Register

  • All practitioners should hold appropriate Indemnity insurance.
  • Strict guidelines as to eligibility for register entitlement are already established and each application will be verified on an individual basis.
  • Registrant members will require authorisation before a listing becomes active.
  • All practitioners must become members of the FMPA and remain as members for the duration of their listing on the register.
  • Where a practitioner has worked in a Clubs Academy, they must have been in full time employment. Part time and casual staff are not eligible.
  • The FMPA reserves the right to withhold, remove or cancel membership, registration and profile on the FMPA Register, at any time.
  • The FMPA can add certain professions at their discretion.
  • It is the practitioners’ responsibility to undertake the required DBS check, where appropriate
  • All practitioners must be registered with their individual professional registration bodies, where applicable.

Users of the FMPA Register are responsible for ensuring that practitioners have carried out the necessary DBS check, where appropriate.

Privacy Policy

The Football Medicine & Performance Association (“FMPA”) of 6A Cromwell Terrace, Gisburn Road, Barrowford, Lancashire, BB9 8PT are committed to protecting and respecting the privacy of our members.

This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, via our website www.fmpa.co.uk will be processed by us.

For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 the data controller is League Medical Ltd at the above address. We are registered in accordance with the act under registration number Z286323X.

We may collect and process information you provide when you apply for membership however the FMPA will never store any bank details, credit or debit card details. Please note that our monthly subscription services are provided by SAGE pay who have their own privacy policy which can be viewed here www.sagepay.co.uk/policies/privacy-policy, PayPal which can be viewed here https://www.paypal.com/en/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full and Eazycollect https://www.eazycollect.co.uk/privacy-policy

We may use your information for professional purposes for example job opportunities and to confirm your eligibility for membership. However, the FMPA may contact third parties within professional football in order to request information which may enable us to verify any information that you have provided to us. We may disclose your personal information to third parties if we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the FMPA, our members or others. The FMPA will not give out your personal details or email without your prior permission for any other reason.

Should you complete any other forms or surveys via the FMPA website you allow the FMPA to collect and process this information or if you contact us, we may also keep a record of that correspondence.

The FMPA will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

All information you provide to us is stored on secure servers. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

The FMPA uses an email server provider for delivery of multiple emails. We will provide information on how you can unsubscribe from further email communications at the bottom of every email that we send you.

If the FMPA intend to use your information for marketing purposes, then we will inform you via email prior to collection.

The FMPA website contains links to other websites. If you follow any of these links, then the FMPA does not accept responsibility for your data. Please check individual website privacy policies.

Cancellation Policy

This policy sets out the Football Medicine & Performance Association (FMPA) membership cancellation policy. Members must allow 7 working days prior to collection of subscription in order to facilitate the cancellation and avoid a further monthly charge. Refunds for any remaining time left of membership will not be given unless in one of the following circumstances:

  • The FMPA processing error has resulted in overcharging of a Member for their subscription
  • The FMPA have made a processing error with the monthly subscription
  • A duplication of a subscription has been made

All Members have the right to have his/her name deleted from membership at any time.

The FMPA have the right to cancel a Membership without notice.

A separate cancellation policy is provided for FMPA events, for example the FMPA Conference and Awards.

FMPA Register Cancellation

Members may cancel their Register listing without cancelling membership.

Email register@fmpa.co.uk to request your listing only to be removed.
