Burnley Football can confirm that after over 12 years as the Team Doctor, Dr Simon Morris will be leaving his position at the end of this year to pursue his next adventure.

Since 2010, Dr Morris has worked with the Mens 1st Team and supported them during their 7 years in the Premier League, including their European Campaign in 2018 – 2019.

As a loyal, dedicated and experienced medical professional, who has worked within the sports industry for over 23 years, Dr Morris will be leaving as a much-respected member of the Medical Team and much- loved family member of Burnley Football Club.

Dr Morris said; “I’ve had the privilege of working with an alphabet of Managers from Brian Laws through to Vinny Kompany, however, it’s the fantastic people of Burnley Football Club that make these incredible achievements possible.

I’ve had the honour of looking after all the players, staff and even some of the supporters during this precious time.
Our bond of friendship that we all share will continue to thrive throughout life.
I wish Burnley FC and its people every success in the future, but this time from afar rather than from the dressing room or side of the pitch.”
