Dave is a General Practitioner and Sport & Exercise Medicine physician with extensive experience across elite and professional sport. He works in the NHS, with Cora Health, and continues to support high-performance environments.

He has served as a Doctor with the Newcastle United First Team (2022-2025), contributing during two Champions League qualifications and a League Cup win. His previous roles include Club Doctor at Wakefield Trinity Rugby League Club (five years), Academy Doctor at Leeds United, medical support at two Commonwealth Games, and team doctor in Australian Rules Football.

Dave holds an MSc in Sport & Exercise Medicine (Bath) and additional qualifications in musculoskeletal ultrasound. He provides ultrasound-guided interventions and has a subspecialty interest in shoulder pathology, supported by close mentorship with local upper-limb surgeons.

He is a visiting lecturer and examiner on the SEM MSc at the University of Leeds, co-editor of Sport and Exercise Medicine: An Essential Guide (Routledge, 2023), and has active research collaborations in cardiac arrest and injury surveillance.

Appointed Clinical Lead at Locala MSK in 2024, he helped oversee the service transition to Cora Health in 2025.
