Union representation and Enhanced legal support

The FMPA have now secured a pathway for union representation for members. This comes after several months of discussion and investigation looking into providing the right format for members working in our industry and means that any member who faces a disciplinary can now access union support from the FMPA throughout the process. Our website will be updated to outline the process and also offer advice and guidance regarding procedures and the obligations of an employer.

We have also been able to offer this facility without the need to increase subscriptions at this stage and believe this is an extremely valuable addition to member benefits.

As outlined in the CEO message of the latest magazine, the number of disciplinaries is on the rise as clubs now seek to follow the guidelines for complaints or incidents that occur. In all cases it is important that members have the guidance of a union representative who will help you to prepare your opening response and guide you throughout the process.

This service is only open to the Full membership category. Anyone who is currently working in football and using the Associate membership should upgrade accordingly.
