LIGHTFORCE® CASE STUDY FEATURE

FEATURE / LUTON TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB – SIMON PARSELL

As many that have played in the division would testify, the EFL Championship is one of the most competitive leagues in domestic football globally, not only in terms of the quality and calibre of teams involved, but through the rigorous fixture schedule set out.

Clubs participating become very familiar with the concept of Tuesday/Saturday fixtures each week, with recovery time between games needing to be utilised as effectively as possible.

Over the past season, that hefty schedule has been made more challenging as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, which enforced a shorter off-season and a compact 2020-21 campaign.

Luton Town, promoted to the Championship in 2019, finished last season in 12th place. Throughout the COVID-19 period, the Hatters benefited from a player availability percentage of over 90%, with each and every injury sustained during that period implementing LightForce® therapy laser treatment as part of their recovery.
